The Makita DKP181 brushless planer has been designed for building and construction type applications, with a high power brushless motor providing power equal to that of AC models.

The DKP181 is also part of the Makita Auto-start Wireless System (AWS) system – with the optional wireless unit (sold separately), a wireless connection can be made between the tool and an AWS supported vacuum for wirelessly enabling the vacuum to operate when the tool trigger is engaged.

• 2-blade cutter head with double edge carbide blades for added performance and smooth finish
• Depth of cut may be adjusted by simply turning the knob on the front of the tool so that the pointer points the desired depth of cut
• Easy blade setting system for fast blade installation
• Electric brake for maximum productivity
• Battery protection circuit protects against overloading, over-discharging and over-heating
